Yep, no longer possible. I’d done it once before, fished up Old Crafty when my Nelf Hunter Arcarius took part in the follow-up to the Wrathgate quest.
I figured we’d do the same, both of us being fishermen, but alas, another thing Blizzard has fixed. We didn’t even get the The Fishing Diplomat achievement.
We grabbed some screen shots and went home.

Yes, they also ‘fixed’ RFC as well, so you can’t get into the instance while phased.
