This really, really is cool. This is one of many highlights.
The Druid has to be one of the more fun classes to play.
Flightform. There is no subsitute.

Flight form is incredibly awesome. I spent so much time doing nothing but fly around when I got it. AND! Unlike a regular flying mount, a druid in flight form will not get dismounted when attacked in the air.

Sounds like the Skettis dailies would be a lot easier that way. No huge plummets to ones death like other flying folks.

Exactly. I mistakenly assumed the mechanics behind a flying mount were the same as flight form. The Kaliri in Skettis taught me otherwise!
