Lucky Droonda. Her first time there to The Mechanar and we kill Pathaleon the Calculator, and the Molten Earth Kilt drops.  Kind of goes real well with the Earth Mantle Handwraps she picked up in the Steamvaults.  And those match rather well the Worldfire Chestguard that dropped for her inThe Arcatraz.

Even luckier she just respecced as Elemental.  And she’s loving every minute of it.  Really doesn’t hurt if you get a nice Elemental set of gear to start you out with.

Me?  My days as a Warlock might be short.  And pink.

The silly hat was a quest reward.  And the shoulders, I won the greed-pay-for-repairs roll in The Mechanar.

But, thinking about it a moment, I’ve got my Halloween costume picked out.

I’m going as a Warlock. A few extra pieces from the AH and I was set.

“‘Killer Queen’ is a song by the British rock band Queen. It was their breakthrough hit, reaching #2 in the UK in early 1975. The song was taken from Queen’s 1974 album Sheer Heart Attack, and was written by pianist and lead singer Freddie Mercury.” Per Wiki. It *is* a catchy tune.

“Don’t stop me now” is off Jazz, released in 1979. Over on your side of the pond, DM, I see that this song was voted as “The Greatest Driving Song Ever” by the viewers of Top Gear.

It’s funny how things illicit memories. That picture of Droonda found that song on the tip of my tongue. Don’t know why. Haven’t heard a Queen song in ages. Of course when I think of Droonda, I think “Killer Queen.” Or, when I hear songs from the Relayer album by Yes, I remember the gray/sepia cover, the riders and text of a poem from the inside cover, I can vividly remember sitting on my bed analyzing that cover, and remember my visions of what the Dragonriders of Pern (by Anne McCaffrey) looked like battling thread falling from the sky. Michael Whelan did the greatest cover art. It’s funny how strong this is in my memories. I guess this was kind of when I “awoke” to music and reading and it’s rather stuck with me.

Nowadays it’s mostly chill-out music and Buddha Bar and such. What the wife lovingly refers to as my “Shai shai shai” music. (That from an “An Evening at the Improv’ session where this comedian recalled his visit to Turkey and Turkish Radio. He imitated a Turkish Casey Kasem’s talking about such-and-such’s latest hit “Shai, shai, shai.” Funnily enough it’s true, that’s really how it sounds sometimes, since I spent a couple years in Turkey myself. Oddly enough, since there are very few Turkish artists featured in the very worldly Buddha Bar cd’s, the Buddha Bar cd’s were Turkish Airlines exclusive in-air music choice.)

This memory stuff … (Must run!)
