Blizzard sells out.
This is the visual equivalent of the whisper wall of gold spam I’m getting when I’m logged in now.
If something’s broken in the game, it’s the goldsellers spam. This needs addressing.

Amen brother. I broke down an got SpamSentry to get rid of those annoying purple popups. Now i got orange one but are not nearly as distracting. Also if I’m in a careing mood ill send back my own spam or report it up.

AMEN! My newest tatic is to spam Blizzard with tickets with all my spam that is canned by Spam Sentry.
If every player spammed CS. They would fix it.

Except the Blizzard is fixing, with 2.1, their API again.
Addons will no longer will be able to generate GM Tickets. No more semi-automated reporting.
If you want to report a goldspammer you’ve got to do it by hand. By filling out your own GM Ticket.
On the flip side Blizzard also says it will “throttle” the amount of addon generated whispers to something “reasonable”. And it cautions addon authors to keep their whispering reasonable.
I’m not sure how much addon functionality is based on whispering, but if their solution to fix goldspammers whispering is going to kill a couple of useful addons…
